Erectol contains: Avena Stativa, Siberian Ginseng, Saw Palmetto, Boron, Vitamin E, Zinc, Phosphorous, Chlorophyll and Ginkgo Biloba; as well as others outlined on the website.

Erectol is purported to be able to “rebalance the system,” by “supplying the needed nutrients to increase testosterone”, “increases circulation and boosts energy” and “the libido”. Frankly we are unclear as to how they hope to accomplish this task, considering the ingredients used in this formula. However, it may be able to help promote prostate health because it contains Saw Palmetto; which has been shown to be able to diminish signs of benign prostate problems or enlargement. However, it does not have a direct affect on male sexual performance.

Some will no doubt point to this formulas use of Maca as the active ingredient in, which is a grain that has garnered a great deal of media attention as of late because of its purported sexualty enhaning abilties. Overall, Maca has been shown to have some affect on men with no signs of sexual dysfunction, however, the same has not been proven for men who do exhibit signs of sexual dysfunction. In this way its abilities are inferior to Yohimbe, which has been proven to be able to significantly impact the quality and quantity of erections, because it can both increase the flow of blood to the penis and increase the level of cGMP in the penis, which is needed for stimulation and maintenance of erections.

The Erectol website provides consumers with a great deal of hype and some other information. We were glad to see that testimonials were posted on this website, because they have become a good source of information for many consumers. Testimonials are customer-generated reviews which illustrate consumer’s success with a product; usually those products which are the most effective will have rather lush testimonials sections.

However, it is unfortunate that so few testimonials are posted on this website. In fact only six are presented for consumer review, which we found to be somewhat troubling. If this product is as successful as indicated we believe the testimonial section would be far more extensive at this point.

Erectol may well be able to help some men boost their prostate health a bit; although we doubt it will either increase erection quality or the production of testosterone. This product does not use a known testosterone booster such as Tribulus Terrestris, which has been shown to be able to significantly increase testosterone production in the body, thereby notably impacting male sexual potency and virility.

As mentioned earlier this product also does not use Yohimbe a known and proven erection enhancing herb, nor does it use an effective male aphrodisiac such as Epimedium, which has been shown to be able increase male sexual desire, as well as performance. In our estimation those who decide to give this particular product a try may be sorely disappointed.
