The Primal Instinct website links to the scientific research available about pheromones. This research has been reported on extensively in the media; by many well know TV news shows, as well as in many renowned newspapers. The research quoted is very accurate – pheromones exist in human sexuality and aid in the human mating ritual. These tests were conducted on human subjects secreting pheromones while sexually aroused.
Pheromones are thought to be sensed by the Vomeronasal Organ (VNO), a little known organ in the nose. It is believed that when this organ picks up the scent of pheromones it then sends a message to the brain. This is also mentioned on the Primal Instinct website. However as much as we wish we could say that this research indicates that synthetic pheromones create the same response in humans as “real” ones do - we can’t. The research conducted and quoted on this website in no way related to synthetic pheromones; only actual human ones. Until more research is done on these lab produced pheromones we will not know for sure that they in fact really work

Overall, we believe Pheromone based products, such as Primal Instinct, may increase sexual confidence in some men, not because they give pheromone blood levels an extreme boost as suggested by manufacturers, but because the idea of it working may just create a sexual confidence boost; confidence can be a major component in drawing women to you. The placebo effect is strong for many.
However, there are many herbally based products which can actually also boost confidence and virility. We are unconvinced that synthetic based pheromones, as found in this product, can produce the same documented results as actual human ones – which really may work.
