The Red Kat™ Formula contains Biotest Nano-Dispersed gel, a high-tech formula for increasing the metabolic rate and, as mentioned above, the extract Eurycoma longifolia for increasing testosterone levels.

The third main ingredient, Sclaremax™, comes from a compound found in the plant Salvia Sclarea, and is often used in fat burners for its potential in activating the enzymes that aid in lipolysis.

There are several other chemical substances contained that Biotest uses in many of its products.

Eurycoma longifolia is a tree native to Southeast Asia. It has been used traditionally as an aphrodisiac and to fight fatigue. Because of its effects on increasing the metabolism, it has been suggested to cause insomnia. When taken on a regular basis late in the evening, this could cause sleep disruptions which could lead to a reduced sex drive. No clinical studies have been done to suggest that it has an effect on testosterone levels, though it is often included in muscle building formulas.

Red Kat™ suggests that following the dosage protocol is essential for maximum benefits. It is recommended to take one or two pills two times a day. New users are expected to take “escalating” doses during the break-in period; one is taken two times per day for the first week, and the pill numbers increase every week for four weeks. Additionally, the product is supposed to be “cycled” every 5 days – 5 days on, 2 days off.

As stated, the active ingredient is Eurycoma, believed to have aphrodisiac and testosterone enhancing properties. Traditionally used to aid in sexual dysfunction, this may help with enhancing physical sensations but has not been shown to affect testosterone, the main selling point of the extract in Red Kat.

Tribulus Terrestris is an herbal extract used traditionally in a variety of countries across all continents for aiding in sexual dysfunction and has been shown in clinical studies to help increase testosterone levels. For men looking for a proven way to enhance production of this essential male hormone, this extract may be a desirable option.

For men who are looking for a way to stay awake all night long, this product has a formula that appears to keep the metabolism going. Although the advertising suggests this will assist the tissues associated with sexual function, there is no research indicating that this will definately happen.

Since all active ingredients increase the metabolic rate and the main ingredient, Eurycoma, has been shown to cause insomnia, it appears that Red Kat would be better suited as a fat burner than a male enhancement product.

We appreciate that the product is supposed to have cumulative effects, but because of the strong stimulant effect it will have it does not appear healthy if following their protocol. While tolerance to the stimulants will build up over time, it does not make the results more beneficial.

The addition of Eurycoma may provide some aphrodisiac qualities, but, as stated, does not appear to have a strong ability to increase testosterone. Tribulus Terrestris has been shown to be effective and may be a wiser choice for men seeking long term results for a more functional sex life.
