During the initial stages of this review, the SuperMax website was removed from the market, so we were unable to review its formulary. There is no reason given for this discontinuation, which is troubling to us, and no doubt, to those who may be left with a supply of this supplement. Also, it may be available on some online auction websites from time to time.

We feel SuperMax may not, at this point in time, be a viable option for men seeking to augment their sexual function, but there are some other products on the market which have a proven track record of success, and which use elements that are known and clinically proven to increase sexuality. Some of these products contain Yohimbe, an evergreen, indigenous to Africa, where it was used extensively to increase sexual desire and libido.

However, Yohimbe is used in this class of products most likely due to its ability to augment erectile performance, so much so that men often report that their erections “feel” bigger, harder and fuller. It has this effect because it uses a dual approach to increasing erectile functionality – it increases vasodilatation, while also increasing the amount of cGMP. These are mechanisms that the pharmaceutical-grade medications to seek optimize, but they often come along with some significant side effects.

Some men have found taking products that use a combination of Yohimbe and Tribulus Terrestris to be highly effective. This is because they work exceptionally well together – providing a multilevel approach to sexual enhancement. Tribulus has been shown to boost testosterone production, by increasing lutenizing hormone (LH), a hormone that prompts the body to increase its testosterone output.

This, in turn, increases sex drive, stamina and erectile performance. A recent study showed that men who used Tribulus experienced an 80% increase in libido and sexual performance. To some men in their 20s, this may not seem to be very important, however, testosterone production may fall off as much a 1% per year, which may significantly decrease their sexual functionality, muscle mass and bone density. Often, by the time these issues become obvious, men have significantly lowered their overall testosterone levels. In fact, some men in their 40s will find that their testosterone levels have decreased by as much as 20%.

SuperMax is no longer available, because it has been discontinued and removed from the market. However, it may turn up on some online auction websites, and if it does, we suggest individuals carefully examine its formulary to see if it contains the more effective sexuality enhancers, such as Ginseng, Yohimbe and Tribulus Terrestris. These elements all work well together, and have been shown to address sexuality from multiple avenues. This is important, because while Tribulus Terrestris may increase desire and virility, Yohimbe may deliver harder, fuller erections, that last longer; and Ginseng may increase energy and stamina.
