Topiglan Review Summary |
In an effort to compete with the incredibly popular erectile dysfunction treatments that have appeared over the last several years, MedChem is currently developing a topical cream called Topiglan. Pills have recently taken over the male enhancement market since they present a very appealing alternative to injections and suppositories.
Topiglan would take the convenience factor even further, by delivering its active ingredient through a topical cream. This product may come be a welcome new arrival for some, but nonetheless it does have several limitations.
 | Ingredients At A Glance |
Topiglan’s active ingredient is alprostadil combined with the SEPA, an absorption enhancer that increases the passage of agents through the skin.
 | Ingredients In Focus |
The FDA approved Alprostadil for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in 1996.
It is a hormone-like substance that has been shown to improve blood flow by causing the blood vessels to expand. It exists naturally in the body to keep blood moving throughout. By increasing blood flow at the site of the penis, alprostadil helps to create and maintain an erection. It usually begins to work with 5 to 20 minutes, and the effects generally last for one hour.

 | Lifestyle Benefits |
Prior to the development of Topiglan, Alprostadil was only effective when delivered through an injection or as a suppository. This new product would present a significantly less invasive option to those who cannot take oral treatments for erectile dysfunction. Recent trials have shown Topiglan to be more effective than a placebo, producing a greater angle of erection, as well as greater rigidity. Of course, as with all prescription treatments, this product does not affect the libido.
 | Positives |
• Topical gel is a less invasive delivery system
• Fewer risks of drug interactions than with oral treatments
• Contains Alprostadil
 | Negatives |
• This product has not yet been approved for use by the public
• Will be available by prescription only
• Does not affect the libido
• Reduces spontaneity to a degree
 | Final Thoughts |
Without a doubt, Topiglan offers a far more appealing delivery system for Alprostadil than is presently available. This means that men who could not take oral treatment for erectile treatments because of potential interactions now have one more option available to them. While Alprostadil has been very effective for treating physical problems, as previously discussed, it will not increase the libido.
Those who are interested in stronger erections and more stamina may want to try a supplement containing Yohimbe, which has not only been approved by the FDA for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, but has also been shown to act as an aphrodisiac.
