As previously mentioned Deer Antler Velvet is the main ingredient of Velvamax which is the initial stage of deer antler growth. Most of the Deer Antler Velvet, used in products such as this is harvested in New Zealand, under reportedly humane conditions by farmers and veterinarians. However, we were not able to ascertain where the extract used in Velvamax is purchased. We did try to contact the company about this, but we did not receive a response.

Deer Antler Velvet has been purported to contain collagen, glycosaminoglycans, and glycoproteins, which manufacturers suggest can be replenished in humans by taking this ingredient in a supplement form. It is also hyped as being an anti-inflammatory agent. It also, advertised as being good for a great many ailments and conditions such as cancer, immune issues, and wound healing, as well as a male sexuality enhancer.

In general, there has been very little research done on Deer Antler Velvet, and even less on its sexuality enhancing effects. The results of the research that was performed came back as being inconclusive. Most of the research that was conducted was performed on animals, such as rats, which can be a good start, but rats and humans have very different metabolic systems, which can vary the results.
