Supposedly, according to the website, the product has been clinically tested and has been shown to increase sexual performance in males; the company claims that the product “is not a drug” and that no harmful side effects have been reported. While some of the results are posted on the website, the research is not cited. Naturally, we feel that it is important for more detailed information to be available to consumers, since some ingredients could cause side effects in some cases. Plus, we feel consumers should know whether or not they are getting the most effective formula for their money.

The home page for Vytalin seems to be designed to entice men to try the product – several of the benefits are listed, though no details, and the bottom of the page has an order form. Men can order two bottles by paying $9.95 for shipping and handling. The regular price is not listed, so if men decide they like the product after two months, they might have to pay a lot for it. The site posts some of the benefits that were found after the clinical trials; we appreciate that these trials were done, although it must be mentioned that the sample size was only 60 people. There are a few success stories posted on the website as well, which we believe adds some credibility to Vytalin, but only one is attributed. This makes us question the validity of the others.

For men experiencing symptoms of erectile dysfunction, such as an inability to get or maintain an erection, loss of libido or premature ejaculation, use of a natural supplement may be advantageous for regaining control over sexual function. The manufacturer suggests taking the product on a regular basis, two tablets a day, and claims that most men will notice a difference in a few weeks, although some may see changes sooner. As stated, the product claims to have no side effects associated with it, but we have found that even herbal formulas can have contraindications in some cases. We feel that men are better off choosing a product with all of the label information clearly posted.

While we appreciate that the company promises to use only natural ingredients in the formula, as discussed, we would appreciate seeing exactly what those ingredients are. It is not possible for us to properly assess a product without knowing what it consists of, and we do not feel that it is fair to consumers to be denied this information. The formula may, in fact, be effective for supporting male sexual health and enhancing sexual performance; but frankly, we do not feel that consumers should take the risk. We know of plenty of companies that manufacture high-quality herbal products that contain the precise amount of each extract to be effective. We believe men will be much more satisfied with these types of products.
